Palm Treo 750v VS Palm Treo Pro

As I wrote in my last post, I would like to dig into this new Palm Treo Pro that I recently bought. What I would like to do, as I?ve been a Treo 750v user for quite a long time, is a comparison between the two models (using Windows Mobile 6 in the first one and Windows Mobile 6.1 in the latest one). After days and days and days of talking and rumors, what was I supposed to do? Simply talking ? Of course not ! (everyone needs to reward himself sometimes ) I found the device @ 399 ? (Vodafone branded) which is quite good, considering that in Europe, unbranded, it is sold at 100 bucks more. Anche quest?anno, e come avevo già annunciato, si sono tenuti i Microsoft MVP Open Days , questa volta in Microsoft Italia. Per me è stato un evento davvero unico, tanto per le sessioni quanto per il fatto che è ?l?occasione? per antonomasia per incontrarci tutti (o quasi) insieme. Due giorni caratterizzati da incontri, roundtable, discussioni tecniche ma anche da cene e divertimento. Vorrei ringraziare in particolar modo Microsoft Italia, che mi ha permesso di organizzare un evento così importante per me personalmente. A Day at the Bottega, A Night at the Pub (and other amenities?)

Sometimes it?s nice to break the routine and have a different day. It happened last week, when I had the chance to be invited by Andrea Saltarello (I know Andre, I should have passed by months ago!) to the Managed Designs. Nice office, in the city center of Milano, modern and hospitable, and a little bit ?rough? in a perfect dev style . Of course we talked a lot about User Groups and local Communities but also the boss was so kind to show me servers, routers, and other machineries (I have to say, after a while I lost him in the description ). Format the SanDisk Cruzer..

Yesterday I bought this nice USB key (Sandisk Cruzer Micro 8 GB) at a cheap price (around 28 ?): I also saw there?s now the 16 GB version available and I?m a big fan of Sandisk products (so I guess I?ll need one of those in the near future.. ). This USB key is fast, reliable and not that big as many keys you can find around. After open the box I realized that this is not a common key: it uses a technology called U3. With the U3 technology you can install the software in the key and use it as if it was installed in your machine. You can also download additional portable software That?s great, I mean, for people who need this. But frankly, I was in need of a USB Flash Drive for data storage and/or Windows Ready Boost. So, I tried to format it but I couldn?t ! All you need to do is to download the U3 Launchpad Removal Tool, plug the key, launch the application and it?s done!
