Amigo Point Of Sale 2008 sports two main modules, the Amigo Point Of Sale Front End and Back Office. The front end is used for most point of sale functions including ticket entry and recall, time clock, transactions, credit card processing and cash drawer management. All features that require text or numeric entry provide and on-screen keypad or keyboard, eliminating the necessity for an external keyboard. The use of a touchscreen display eliminates the need for a mouse. Most buttons contain customizable text and are designed specifically for touchscreen use. The front end will run on any monitor capable of 800 x 600 pixel screen resolution, eliminating the need for a more expensive high resolution. Positive Software Company has  decided to change the name of Multi -store to Multi-site in Positive Retail manager to better reflect how the product is actually used. Many customers have warehouses, or mobile sales operations that aren’t really “store” sites, so Multi-site is a better descriptive name. We’ve already made the change to the dealer price list and should have our web site and marketing materials updated by the end of this month. Our programming department has also made a number of enhancements to Multi-site and changed the installation proceedure. Starting with the next official release, there will be a specific registration for the Master Site , which must be completed first before any other site can be activated.
