P1 signs WiMAX deal with Alcatel-Lucent

Packet One Networks (M) Sdn Bhd (P1) has awarded the contract to deploy and manage its 2.3Ghz mobile WiMAX 802.16e network to Alcatel -Lucent. The phase 1 of the deployment is valued at USD$71 million(close to RM230 million). It will allow P1 to deploy and offer high speed WiMAX 802.16e broadband service to the Malaysians. More here.

DiGi and TIME has signed a definitive agreement that would allow it to make formal applications to transfer the 3G license owned by TIME to DiGi. Read more here.
