kodak Easyshare Printer (5300 multifunction ink-jet printer)

The EasyShare 5300 marks Kodak 's bold entry into the inkjet printer space. Their first printers, all of which are all-in-ones, look fairly generic from the outside. Where Kodak is trying to be different from the other guys is in terms of value. Inkjet printer manufacturers are famous for giving you the printer for cheap and then making you pay through the nose for ink. Kodak's charging a fairly reasonable price for the printer ($199 in the case of the EasyShare 5300) and they're selling the ink for much less than everyone else ($10 for B&W, $15 for color). That's not for a half-filed cartridge either -- it's a full tank. All told, it can cost as little as 10 cents to print a photo on the EasyShare 5300, compared to 24 - 28 cents on other printers. The Nokia 770 Internet Tablet bears more than a passing resemblance to a PDA, except that it's designed with a landscape orientation and has the wide screen to match. The Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick may seem familiar to PVR junkies. The USB TV tuner bears an almost identical body to that of the Hauppauge Win-HVR-950 and the Elgato EyeTV Hybrid, with a few minor changes in ventilation holes and the addition of a dome shaped IR receiver on the topside for the bundled remote control. Sleek and black, it looks right at home plugged into my MacBook, and with a footprint slightly larger than your average thumb drive, it's incredibly portable. In the U.S., German-based Navigon may be the biggest name in GPS you've never heard. Navigon has long been a major provider of navigation software to automotive manufacturers for in-dash gps navigation devices, but only recently did they introduce portable navigation devices under their own name. What they offer up, however, demonstrates immediately that this is a company that knows navigation inside and out.Note that the 2100 runs on the Microsoft Windows CD Net 5.0 operating system. A PC is required to use additional map data, and in such cases users require Windows 2000, ME, XP or higher, as well as a CD ROM drive and a USB port. An SD/MMC card reader is recommended as the 7100 not only uses SD cards, but also comes with a 2 GB SD card in the package. The 2100 is the lowest-priced (and smallest) of Navigon's line of portable GPS navigators.
