Gmail open for some countries

After opening Orkut for all, Google has also opened its gate for Gmail in European countries and the Middle East and Africa, Brazil, Australia, Russia and Japan. Now users from these places can easily sign-up for a Gmail account without any invitation. They just need to goto http://mail.google.com/mail/signup a nd signup there. Now people from oter countries can’t signup directly but again can signup using proxies or a cellphone. Now let see teel you, they have not released it out of Beta but took it in Public beta for these countries. I’m hoping that they open Gmail world wide now  !   Share This

Alongwith the W880 Walkman, Sony Ericsson has introduced the new K810 and K550 Cyber-shot phones. As expected of Sony Ericsson, the 17-mm K810 boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and Xenon flash whereas on the other hand, the 14-mm K550 packs a modest 2.0 megapixel camera and LED photo light. Both devices support Memory Stick Mico (M2) cards. The K810 has a second camera up front for video calls and supports UMTS 2100 and GSM 900/1800/1900. Well, it seems the introduction of the Apple iPhone has given a serious shocker throughout the cellphone industry and we’ve been seeing other major companies try to compete since then. From the latest releases only LG seems to have had something that could at least be a little bit similar to the iPhone with their LG Prada KE850 phone. Well, it seems we’re here to see another concept phone, the Asus Aura N48 Communicator , produced by the Hungarian design company, Egy Studio. Looking at it can tell you that it was clearly inspired by the iPhone, although the Asus Aura has some interesting innovations that address some of the shortcomings that the iPhone seems to have. Buffalo Laptop USB Mouse

Buffalo have released a mouse for laptops. This mouse manages to offer a retractable cable in its body. This mouse keeps away the trouble of dealing with a laptop handbag with cluttered wires. With the coiling up of the cable within the body, there is nothing but the USB port that’s left out. According to the company the mouse has a “high accuracy tracking”.   The resolution hasn’t been disclosed. The mouse is available in colors; silver, white and black. The mouse will be a killer for the wireless laptop mouse market. But nevertheless Buffalo plans to release a wireless one as well. Both the mouse will look the same just for the change in communication; wire to wireless. The company promises a 157 hours of usage from two AA batteries. Cooler Master Heatsink - Gemin II

Cooler Master aren’t thinking of the problems people are facing with Vista PCs. Instead they are just going outright crazy with their cooling solutions. They have recently announced their latest cooling solution for processors; the Gemin II. This heatsink has two 120mm fans, dozens of aluminum fins, and six copper heat pipes. The heatsink is large enough to grace half of the entire motherboard and probably even break it into two. The heatsink is enormous as the picture indicates and will require an even enormous cabinet to house it. The Gemin II will surely keep those AMD X2s and Intel Core 2 Duo/Extreme chilled down as well. No word on the pricing and availability as yet but do expect the price to set the temperature soaring in your wallet. Say something around the 5-6K mark. Buffalo, a company that has been creating waves in almost every field of technology nowadays, has just unveiled a lineup of USB drives that sport licensed Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and Stitch. Not only does this drive have just 512MB of capacity, but due to its shape its not something you can tuck in your pocket. Hence it’s fairly clear that these are aimed squarely at Disney fanboys (and girls) who just can’t let the opportunity to own a “limited edition” Disney item pass them by. Releasing late next month, only 5,000 of each character will be available for sale, and while we’re not sure of the exact prices, we’re certain they will be a bit overpriced due to its short supply. We’re here with news of PQI’s latest release, the U510. Although the U510 USB Flash Card is not the 16GB one as the other release, PQI’s giving this device a fancy makeover for the Chinese New Year, as the “Limited Fortune Pig Edition Card Drive” (I’m not kidding), which dons red and gold colors in preparation for the celebration. Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time a USB flash device has been decorated for the forthcoming occasion, but we have a good feeling despite the looks of it, it won’t be that expensive. The cards come with a flat, retractable USB 2.0 cable, carrying bag, and personal file management software, and though we aren’t sure just how much it actually costs, only 1,000 1GB drives are being produced while just 500 2GB units will see the light of day, so we’d suggest that if you really want it, ask a relative/friend who’s going to China to buy it for you. Today when I got up in morning and went to check my mails and scraps, I found an amazing thing in orkut. It was a VIDEO additon. Google integrates Yotutube and Google Video s gallaery like this in orkut. Now this can be a major chnage made by Google in orkut. Taking this new feature as a plus point, there is also a minus point - Orkut still lacks a community like page where everyone can share videos and see the popular one like MySpace Videos and Bebo TV have! Now adding video to your Favourate Video gallery page is very simple. Kingston seems well prepared with the launch of their Data Travel er Read yFlash , which appears to be a regular 1 or 2GB USB 2.0 drive with a 5/3MBps read/write but it supports Windows Vista’s new feature - Windows ReadyBoost - which allows you to use a USB drive as another layer of performance-boosting cache for Windows. No word on price or release yet, but I would make sure u have Microsoft Vista, a USB 2.0 port and a USB Flash drive enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost with at least 512 MB of available space before going for this one.   Share This

Ferrari’s partnership with Moto r ola has lead to a MotoRAZR MAXX V6 with the Ferrari branding all over it. It’s called the V6 Ferrari but doesn’t mean that it has 6 Valve engine running it. The phone has a black finish instead of the traditional Rosso Corsa (Ferrari Red) paint. The other specs of the phone are a 2 MP camera, microSD expansion slot, Bluetooth 2.0, and USB 2.0 connectivity. It even supports standard GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA. Supposedly the world’s smallest two-legged robot, the Omnibo2007 i-SOBOT is just 96×67x165mm and weighs only 350g. An internal gyro-sensor gives maximum flexibility while an attached IR remote control has voice command features and pre-programming capabilities. If you clap or play music, the i-SOBOT will actually dance to the beat. No word on the price yet, but the i-SOBOT is set for a mid-July release. Jan 25, 2007 This 10.4mm thin digital media player is the new brainchild of LG. Not only does it deliver amazing features, it looks stunning. The FM37 comes in 3 models - 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB. With the a 2.4 inch TFT LCD “touch” display, a QVGA 320 x 240 resolution, the support of mp3/wma/ogg playback with 24hrs of audio playback, e-books, and of course a 3 hour video playback (AVI and WMV), LG seems to have thought of everything. They haven’t even left out the FM Tuner. The price of the 1GB/2GB/4GB is $159, $192, and $256 respectively. No word on the availability in India yet as it has just been released in Korea. This can be a first intro to LG’s Prada!

It seems that Samsung is hell bent on making their phones as slim as possible. After the release of the Ultra Edit ion 6.9, they have recently introduced the new Samsung Ultra Edition 5.9 which is 1 mm thinner than its predecessor. That’s 0.23 inches. Along with the Ultra Edition 10.9 Slider, Samsung currently holds the record for the world’s thinnest mobile phone and world’s thinnest slider phone, respectively. But don’t be fooled into thinking it has shed some of its features to make it slimmer. The Ultra 5.9 has a 3.2-megapixel camera, 80MB of internal storage, tri-band, Bluetooth, and a media-player, which is a lot in such a slim phone. The Sony VAIO R Master now goes Core 2 Quad. This is the first PC for the consumers with Core 2 Quad. The R Master features a split tower flagship desktop. It is powered by a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600. The other specs show a Blu-ray Disc Drive, 3 GB of DDR2-667 RAM, 3 TB of SATA disk, and nVIDIA Quadro FX1500 graphics for some splendid graphic experience. The R Master model no. VGC-RM900CPS comes with a 24-inch LCD supporting a resolution of 1920×1200. These R Masters are set to hit the markets in the East on the 10th of Feb and will be priced around $8,241 (Rs.370,000).
