I think I speak for most people when I say, the thought of Batman against Sub-Zero in a fight will most likely confuse you. But before your head explodes, I just want to say that this is not a joke but the next edition of Mortal Kombat .Game designers have stated that finishing moves will be less bloody in an attempt to earn the game a TEEN (15+ in the UK) rating. Gore or no gore chances are this game will live long in the minds of gamers. Either for being a great combination of two genres of game, or for being a disappointing underachievement. However, no matter how it turns out, one thing is guaranteed; it's going to be Krazy.

Motorola to split into two companies?

Apparently Motorola have given in to pressure from investors who are growing tired of the poor performance of cell phone sales. The compny plans to divide ito two separate assosiations to avoid further humiliation.It isn't yet known whether the two companies will share the name Motorola or what they will be called otherwise but I will post updates when ther arrive.

It looks like there's going to be a good reception for Grand Theft Auto IV as video game sales rocket in the US. A total of $1.33 billion worth of game have been sold even though the two front-runners in the console wars are in short supply.in other related news, the PS2 continues to outsell it's big brother. The PS2 sold 351,800 units compared with the PS3's 280,800.

TiVo stated today that it will be bringing YouTube videos to TV screens at home. Apparently members will be able to access their YouTube accounts from their TiVo boxes and watch videos via digital video recorders.This service is said to be made available to all TiVo Series3 DVR users with high-speed internet.

Sony might let Microsoft use Blu-ray on Xbox 360

According to The Financial Times, Sony might be on the verge of allowing rivals Microsoft use Blu-ray technology on the Xbox 360.With HD-DVD seeming like it will be overtaken by Blu-ray DVDs, it looks like the HD add-on for the Xbox 360 won't be of much use. Microsoft have acknowledged this and are on the brink of an agreement with Sony that will give them the rights to use Blu-ray on the console.The problem I see with this is, the predicted price of a Blu-ray add-on will be in the range of $300. At this price you might as well just buy a PS3.

Google and Microsoft to fight for Digg

Digg have said the they are prepared to accept a bid of less than $300 million. Google stated that they would be likely to bid around $200 - $225 million. Microsoft are aiming for a lower price because most of Digg's income has been thanks to an advertising deal with Microsoft.Digg raised $250,000 per month in 2006 and is likely to have increased.

Pioneer put an end to Plasma Panels

Japanese company Pioneer have announced they they are discontinuing their line of plasma-screen TVs. This is after a 15 Billion Yen ($145 Million) loss due to the badly planned launch of the Kuro PDP- 508. The company will instead work on new technology for flat-screen and LCD TVs.

The NTT DoCoMo D904i will be the first cell phone to offer motion sensitive gaming. The phone will use it's camera to track the player's movements. The screen can also be tilted to move a ball around the screen in a "Super Monkey Ball"-esque style. The question is: how will a player know what's happening if they are playing a boxing game and ducking and weaving at the same time? Won't the screen be a bit blured?

This has to be one of THE biggest battles in games lately. Comparison between the two heavyweights of soccer games has been going on for as long as they have been around, but these two are completely different in style but very close in quality.I'll start with FIFA. This year, the major difference has been the addition of various tricks that can be done by holding LT (Xbox 360) or L2 (PS3). This can be a lot of fun and is great for embarrassing your friends. Sadly this can only be done on Next-Gen consoles.
