The seocontest2008 is still 1 month away from the finish line, but I have discover many interesting facts about SEO and SERP position especially on Google . I think you’ve heard that Google algorithm to determine which page should be on the top position of SERP is the company’s top secret and it continuously upgraded and fine tuned. Therefore many people whose claimed their self as SEO guru couldn’t gives you guarantee that your page will be on top SERP position if you applying their method. Watching the rise and sank position of the seocontest2008 participant is interesting, but it gives me more open question rather than answer. There are many new pages which showed up on the first page only for one days, then it disappeared. Nokia has made more people wish come true by releasing a new firmware with geotagging capabilities. It’s a location tagger application which designed to work on older mobile phone production lines which based on S60 3rd edition. Nokia Geotagger application allows your mobile phone to tag your location data automatically on your pictures. As you take a picture, your GPS coordinates are saved to the EXIF header of the JPEG file. You can use this data later, for example, to locate your pictures on a map. Since the older mobile phone doesn’t have integrated GPS receiver, you may need either an added GPS receiver, or an external Bluetooth GPS receiver module. The location tagger is tested with: Nokia N95, N95 8GB, N82, E90, N73 and should work with all Nokia devices based on S60 3rd edition. seocontest2008 still half way to go before the event organizer deciding the winner. But seeing a nice progress from the contest participant that I support has brought satisfaction. Yesterday was kinda busy day for me. I have to run test on several new script on different server configuration. At the same time, I have to help my brother when his blog got defaced by a looser hacker. But all of my works seems got paid off when I see the current standing position of the only easy things. Yes it reach top ten position after two days ago it was on position #99. Nice jump. Anyway, the competition still goes on, and all contest participant are keep working on their web. The Only Easy Thing should keeping his pace on optimum effort otherwise he will lose the great momentum to reach the top position.
