Microsoft has a lot more products which Google doesn't have,such as PC Operating System, Developing Enviroment, Servers etc'While Microsoft strategy till now was to develop products which requires installation, Google strategy is to develop online products, My guess is that the next steps of Google would be closing the gap between Microsoft by developing one of this products -Online financial product which would allow personal or Small Business manage thier financial Costs, Taxes etc' onlineOnline development enviroment product, This would allo group of developers login to some URL and start coding together and share the source code on a central Source Control system.

Today, Every mobile manufacturer has its own operating system for phones, This makes it difficult for handset components makers, application developers, and the handset makers themselves to develop new products and services quickly because they have to design functionality for each software iteration.Google Android is a portable Mobile OS which can solve this compatability problem, However such Mobile OS already exists, for example Windows Mobile.14.3m Windows Mobile phones sold in the past six months alone, so Google Android would have fierce competition over Windows Mobile.
