Ask.com last hope for bloggers?
2008-01-24 18:07:00 “Ask.com Nabs Former Google Exec” sent my mind spinning through possibilities of wonderous synergy ideas. In the article it states that Cesar Mascaraque, previously of Google, has been hired by Ask.com as their European managing director. Good for Cesar. Time saving find on this chilly Tuesday morning
2008-01-23 04:37:00 I don’t spend much time talking about my day job. Don’t get me wrong I’m extremely proud of where I work and the job I’m tasked completing. Whispers are swirling that Yahoo !’s CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) could be compromised up to 35% of the time. What’s the big Izea Ted
2008-01-21 16:08:00 This is in response to my homie at bloggerista where he possess the question of PayPerPost filing an antitrust claim against Google? To think that an antitrust case isn’t part of the exit strategy at IZEA is probably naive. -> As stakeholders in what happens, a lot of bloggers like myself are anxious and impatient, but we don’t have the wherewithal to fight the battle in court. Hold up tiger. Has an exit strategy been discussed by Izea? If you have an inside source you’ve been holding out on us. Google is doing what Microsoft does best. Leveraging their monopoly position to stomp out competition. Izea’s board of directors should have suggested immediate action in saving face with the bloggers that make up PayPerPost. Instead Izea followed immediately behind Google and dropped us like hot potatoes. This was a huuuge mistake. Robert MacEwan said… Is Izea going to address those of us that previously had higher PR? We really should have been grandfathered in ...
Federal Trade Commission Chairwoman Deborah Platt Majoras helps celebrate J
2008-01-21 08:24:00 Let me get this straight. FTC chairwoman Deborah Platt Majoras saw now problems with Google’s acquisition of DoubleClick. She saw no reason to recusal from the review of the proposed acquisition. So at one time she was partner at Jones Day though not an equilty partner like her husband. He has since converted from an equity to a non-equity status at Jones Day. See everyone! No problems here. As petitioners note, I formerly was a partner at Jones Day (though, for the record, not an equity partner, as the Petition incorrectly states). Accordingly, applicable conflict rules required that I recuse myself, for a period of one year, from any matter in which Jones Day represented a party. Under the applicable ethics rules, an employee has a “covered relationship” with, inter alia, “[a]ny person for whom the employee has, within the last year, served as officer, director, trustee, general partner, agent, attorney, consultant, contractor or employee[.]” 5 C.F.R. at § 2... My Sunday morning thoughts
2008-01-20 19:03:00 At some point Ollie has mentioned Miffy. Might have been during bedtime - my best guess. Anyway, in reading through “Surrender, Dorothy: Reviews” this morning I caught a glimpse of Miffy’s contest. I have zero information on the contest so you will have to visit http://surrenderdorothy.typepad.com/books for details. Somehow and we are all familiar with the experience– I came across Curious George at Ty’s Toy Store (Google it for link). I’ve seen the Curious George movie and even possess merchandise in the form of the Curious George flash light - push a button and his hat opens to reveal the bulb (ubercool). OK, so that is on my mind this morning as I procrastinate in setting up 4 or 5 stores I’ve alloted myself for today. What else is going… I consulted on setting up an industry specific social networking site, discussed branding and link farms. The idea is to bring the masses in this particular group all together to discuss their ind... More About: Thoughts , Sunday , Morning , Sunday morning

A Posties Reaction to RealRank Promotion
2008-01-12 17:24:00 I agree that anything less than $20 for 200 is pathetic at best, but the advertisers need to be educated on the benefits of the RealRank over Google PR. This will take time. Izea would be well served to provide incentives for their top rankers to promote the RealRank system and/or IzeaRank, SocialSpark, IzeaSparkSocialRankROI or whatever ... 2008-01-09 19:06:00 Val went back for a brief post-epidural steroid injection check-up this week. She told me the shots would be a success if she could touch her elbows together. OLPC Contaminated with Windows
