Just for Kids Charity Auctions
2007-03-03 00:39:04 Earlier in 2006 I decided to raise some cash for Just for Kids . Just for Kids is a children’s charity based in my area, the North East of England. The charity helps children with disabilities, special needs and those needing special care or guidance. More information about the charity can be found on its website (http://www.justforkids.org.uk/). At the start of 2006, I started to collect autographs and was enjoying it. I wanted to raise some money for this charity as I always like to help charities close to home and especially those involving children. Just for Kids fitted this criteria perfectly and at this point I decided I was going to raise money for Just for Kids and to do this, I would get in touch with celebs and their agents requesting autographs. Now I know from just general browsing on eBay, that it probably wasn’t going to raise the greatest amount of money, but I thought every little helps! I’ve always wanted my own car and be able to drive where I want, when I want. Next step after that is buying myself a brand new Ferrari!! 2. I have really no idea as to what should have won - I’d need to know what films were nominated first and even then, I don’t see many films. 3. A certain pop princess seems to be going into melt-down. The reason for this is, I have never really had a chance to update the blog recently, what with GCSE coursework and just general school work. I’m currently playing catch-up with my coursework and I can guarantee that once I sort out all my coursework (hopefully within this week), I will be posting one hell of a lot more frequently. I haven’t been out a great deal over the past couple of days, again because of my coursework and school stuff. Sony Ericsson K800i (Review)
2007-03-03 00:39:04 As some of you may already know, I got a Sony Ericsson as a Christmas present. I have now had it for a few weeks and I have got to say, I am very impressed with this mobile phone :). First impression when you first pick up the phone is that it seems to be slightly bigger than my previous phone (K700i), but it is slightly more bulky. This seems quite strange at first, you expect it to be heavier than the K700i, but it is in fact lighter even though it is bigger. According to the box the phone came in the phone has the following features: Cyber-shot Phone 3.2 Megapixel camera with autofocus and 16x digital zoom Xenon flash with red eye reduction BestPic - pick the best, delete the rest PictBridge and photo blogging Music player and video player Bluetooth and high speed USB connectivity Memory Stick Micro (M2) support Stunning 262k colour screen 3G and video calling I will now go through each of these things described on the box and tell you about the features of each of these things... 2007-03-03 00:39:04 Reading the title of this blog post you are probably thinking, where the hell did he get the money to buy a Porsche 911? Well don’t worry, unfortunately I haven’t bought a 911 (yet!). This post is just to tell you about a new website of mine which will be up and running in the near future. The website can be found at 911owner.co.uk. If you visit the website now, you will see that it is a phpBB message board system and it is currently in Maintenance Mode whilst I get everything tweaked and looking exactly how I want it to. Once I have made the forums exactly how I would like them, as you may have guessed, the forums will be primarily aimed at those who own or are a fan of the Porsche 911 . There will also be sections for those with other Porsche models and other general categories. 2007-03-03 00:39:04 I had a phone call last week on a private number, I don’t always answer these because I don’t know who it is. I’ve been answering these type of calls a lot more frequently these days just in case it is something or someone important. I answered the phone call with the man on the other end of the line asking for Mr. Dunn - that would be me! The gentleman continued to say that he was calling from 72 Point, to tell me that I had won £200. As you can imagine I was quite happy at this news! He asked me to confirm my address and my cheque would get to me in the post within 14 days. Now you are probably thinking, ‘how did he manage to win £200?’ Then I will tell you exactly how I won the money. I enter a fair amount of surveys on the internet. Yes I do think it is wrong, first of all, I can?t imagine many blokes will enter into the lottery, therefore it is a little one sided. Secondly, I think plastic surgery shouldn?t be promoted in this sense, I personally don?t believe in plastic surgery unless there has been an accident or something similar, where the person has no other choice and would be given a better quality of life. Therefore overall I don?t think there should be a boob job lottery. b) Would you enter? Nope, don?t think I?d look very good with a pair of boob?s lol. My favourite magazine would probably have to be something like Top Gear magazine. I am really interested in cars and motoring. I never miss an episode of the BBC2 TV programme so I enjoy reading the magazine every now and then too. 2007-03-03 00:39:04 This is just a quick update for those of you who helped assist me in deciding which subjects to take as A Levels. I have now decided the four subjects in which I am going to take at Newcastle College. These are: Law English Literature Geography Computing It was suggested a couple of times via e-mail and on a couple of student forums that I should take a subject such as Geography or History etc. I then decided that Geography would be a good choice as I currently enjoy it, also my teacher for this subject at the moment thinks I would be good at it, at A Level. I decided to do the Computing course rather than the ICT as I basically fancied something different. ICT at school at the moment is boring as hell - so realistically I don’t want to be taking it at A Level, it will be more in-depth and probably even more boring! It sounds like a funny concept but don’t know of any organised and have never participated in an event. Lines Painted Under Parked Car!
2006-10-03 16:52:00 Nasser Khan returned to his car, which he parked over night, he found a single yellow line had been painted and a ticket was slapped on his windscreen. When Mr. Khan found out about the workers painting the line under the car, he reported the parking ticket to Salford City Council who quashed his ticket.The whole incident was caught on caught on camera by a nearby office worker.Mr. Khan also claims that the painting equipment used to paint the yellow line has damaged his cars' tyres.
