Hey, I’d be happy if the Yoto T I-PEN R530 only has a 3.0 megapixel camera instead of a 30 megapixel camera built-in. The pen is also an audio/ video recorder directly recording CIF 352 × 288 videos and playable at 15 fps AVI. For still photos, the camera can take up to 640 X 480 resolution. The T I-PEN gives you a choice of 1GB to 4GB built-in storage. We hope technology this advanced is affordable when the price is announced. Apple iPhone not Going Intel but P.A. Semi?

Apple may opt for P.A. Semi ’s super-efficient chip, boasting 300% more power efficiency compared to closest competitors. Dan Dobberpuhl, the founder, as developed a dual 64-bit 2GHz chip powered at 5 to 13 watts. Apple has been in talks with P.A. Semi before they went to put Intel processors on their Macs. Apple has spent $278 million to buy out the company and may be a warning shot to Intel and ARM, the provider of iPhone’s and iPod Touch’s processor. For handhelds P.A. Semi has its work cut out for it. The competition is fierce with ARM boasting a 0.25 watt A9 chip at 1GHz, VIA with a 0.1 watt chip that runs at 500MHz and Intel’s Atom running at 800MHz for .8 watt of power. [via cellphones]

Once a rumor, it’s now official and Archos didn’t even have to make hardware changes. According to Archos, the 605’s 4.3-inch screen is unmatched by other GPS devices in the market. “With more than 50 times the hard drive size, twice the screen resolution, and similar pricing as stand-alone GPS navigation products, the ARCHOS 605 GPS is the ultimate navigation and entertainment device.” The GPS sells for $129.99 separately or comes bundled with a 30GB Archos 605 for $399.99. Ainol S100 PMP w/ Touch Keys

Okay, so this Ainol PMP has LG Chocolate-like touch-sensitive keypad and a nice 3-inch (400 x 240) screen and simply amazing file support: RM, RMVB, AVI, DAT, ASP, MP4, WMV, 3GP, MPG, FLV… and this is just the video files and MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC audio in addition. It comes in red, blue, purple, black and silver versions and 8GB of storage on each one for a whopping 599 yuan or $86 USD. So it’s another cheap PMP from China and we’ve featured plenty of them. It’s not as if it’s going to kill the Apple iPod. [via imp3]

Samsung YP-PB2 PMP w/ DVB-T Tuner

The Samsung YP-P2 has an iteration with DVB-T TV tuner and DAB tuner added. It’s only in Korea of course and shall henceforth be dubbed Samsung YP-PB2. It will not be the new 16GB version of the YP and everything else - 3-inch WQVGA, Bluetooth and a choice of 2GB, 4GB and 8GB f storage - stay the same.
