Does anyone how to download music on sidekick with zune software already on

I have zune software on my computer but when I try to download music on my sidekick it will not allow it and reads error. Is there a way to get around it or do I have to uninstall the zune software. Thank you for any help in advance.

My Zune player is kinda broken. The screen doesn't turn on anymore, but the the sound and everything else works. I really don't want to have to buy a new one, but getting the screen to work is an important feature.
