Turbo Diabolous V8
2007-06-09 14:32:00 Reviewed By Benjamin Donnaloia In the rapidly expanding world of high-end portable audio, we are seeing an explosion of portable amplifiers making their way onto the scenes, but disturbingly, there are not many options when it comes to portable interconnects. Unless there are others I am not aware of, ALO Audio and Qables are the only manufacturers of (high-end) interconnects for the iPod. In my quest to find other options, I came across the username: “Turbo ” on various audio forums promoting his interconnect, the “TURBO Diabolous V8”. This is an ipod dock out to mini cable, specifically used in connecting an ipod to a portable amplifier. Using this type of interconnect will result in significant sonic benefits compared with running directly from the iPod’s headphone out jack. Turbo does not fit under the typical audio business mold, and even his real name is unknown to most people, but frankly this is not important. What’s important is that this DIY...
