Help overlander.tv produce another month of videos
2007-06-26 04:54:00 For many years I have been a firm believer in the internet as a distribution method for filmmakers. We have recently seen the growth of user generated content and there are now numerable sites where one can display there work. But as yet, the monetisation of video blogging is still in it’s infancy. Most vloggers do it as an aside to their day jobs. A couple of events have happened recently that made me realize the power of online communities (eg. Nalt’s getting signed up with the youtube partner program due to youtube community action) Taking my lead from discussions on vlogging groups, I wish to test a funding option, that isn’t purely commercial. I want to see if the 100’s of viewers who learn about different locations via my videos, are willing to help support my filmmaking endeavours. I am using Fundable to help realize this goal If my target of $2,000 is met, I will have the time and resources to devote myself to editing four new videos. They will be:...
