Marmaris is a really fast developing tourist centre on the Turkish Mediterrenean coast. It has a wonderful boulevard with lots of bars and restaurants. Along the boulevard the so called gulets, big wooden sailing boats for chartering and day tours, are moored. In the last years, specially in the summer season it has developed a real night life scene, but without turning into the kind of Benidorm nightmare. The Turkish people are really friendly and helpful. Riding my motorbike through this beautiful country I was invited innumerable times to have tea by perfect strangers.
