A miserable rainy day.
2007-09-05 16:06:00 Its raining in Arkansas. Oooh happy Joy Joy. I hate working on rainy days. Miserable nasty weather. The last time I worked on a rainy day I ended up in a ditch and had to pay 150 dollars to have my muffler put back on. My wife checked the map for me this morning and we tried to find someplace in Arkansas that it wasn’t raining at and there isn’t any so I stuck working in it. I had a crappy day yesterday so I have to work because I’m broke and my wife is about to send off the mortgage so she is going to be broke too. I do have a big event to attend this weekend though and were all pretty excited about that (as long as it doesn’t get rained out). The biker Rally on Marble Falls located in what used to be the old dog patch Theme Park. My wife is really excited. She’s hoping that even though the old dogpatch area isn’t open to the event that the owner will let her walk through and take pictures of the work thats been done. I have n...

El Dorado
2007-08-27 03:26:00 Last time I was driving to El Dora do Arkansas I got to see the damage done by the rain. The rivers were flooded by six to ten feet in some areas. There were streams where there had never been before. I feel bad for the residence when i see things like this, but at least i get to see something new. It always makes me feel like I have traveled back in time I get to that little town in South Arkansas. The roads are cobble stone and the sidewalks are brick. The roads are lined with old fashion gas lamps, and white christmess lights all up and down the roads and trees all year long. There are always people sitting on the bench’s all around the court house. The restaurants down town are very up scale. Most of them have there own outside sitting area. Its all very romantic. When I got to my hotel I was totally blown away. I checked in to a La Cuinta Inn. I usually look for a cheap hotel but I just wasn’t in the mood for nasty rooms and bad internet. When the lad... Natural Swimming Pools
2007-08-26 22:50:00 I think I have mentioned several times were going to have a very large pond or very small lake depending on how you look at it on the back of our property. This pond will be filtered by a wet weather stream that comes down through the mountains. The sandstone (which is also loaded with iron) help to filter the water as it flows down the mountainsides. It also pics up a lot of iron which gives it a beautiful blue green color when it gathers in one spot. We want to be able to swim in this pond as well as raise fish as a source of food. If were going to swim in it its going to have to be cleaner than an average pond in the mountains. The biggest problem with local ponds are the fall leaves which settle at the bottom and decay and release smelly gasses. You certainly don’t want to step in those. Mud is another issue but we hope to be able to coat the bottom of the pond with sand and gravel (and if we find enough large rock while its being dug out creating some underwater r... A week off really isn’t a week off.
2007-08-26 17:14:00 When I got back home last week I made a call to my Chemist in Missouri who informed me that they received a lot of very sudden orders and even though all of my bottles were printed up and ready to go they were going to have to mix a new batch of cleaner and I wouldn’t be getting my order until much, later in the week. This obviously was going to cause financial problems but as luck would have it I got two re orders mid week that almost made up for missing a weeks worth of work and I had just enough supplies left to fill them. I decided to use this time and finish some of the landscaping we started in front of the house 4 years ago and bought 2 1/2 tons of river rock. I’ve been spreading it out all week long with both of my wife’s and my sons help and finally finished it last night. Some lucky SOB won 300 million dollars in the power ball last night. Cash out for that is 140 something million and my wife figured taxes on it and that came to 98 million. I had ... More About: Week , Ally
150+ name brands in one place
2007-08-25 04:44:00 I am a name brand Junkie. I have to buy pretty much all of my name brand clothes second hand because I can no longer afford to buy them new but someday I will be rich again and be able to afford to buy them new. I refuse to accept anything less. My wife prefers to do her shopping online and recently ran across this online boutique offering over 150 different name brands to choose from one one very easy to navigate site. The brand she seems to like is Velvet Apparel. Velvet clothing does seem to have a look that appeals to her. I do wish she would dress in smart business suits but there is something special about what she does wear. Something that says I am not a slave to the way I look. Everything she puts on has to be comfortabel and then attractive and Velvet clothes gives her that. I was a little disappointed not to see Polo among there brands but then I guess if a person wants to wear polo they can go to the polo website and buy it can’t they. They certai... Online Fishing Tournament
2007-08-23 22:14:00 Its been quiet a while since I went fishing. I’m not a fan offish anyway. My wife and kids love fresh fish but I just never got into eating it. Its a little odd that I would feel that way after living in Florida for so long where you can get so much fresh seafood at affordable prices. When I was working in car sales after 911 I was talking about fishing with a man I was trying to sell a car too. We were discussing rumors of fish that divers claimed to have seen at the bottom of the Dardenelle Dam that were large enough to swallow a man. It was at that point that he told me about a 180 pound cat fish he caught several months ago. I told him point blank to his face he was a flat out liar “Catfish don’t get that big”, is what I said. The next day he brought me a picture of him standing text to a catfish on a huge fish scale. The scale read 180 pounds and the fish was longer than he was tall. My wife says thats not really all that rare. She c... More About: Fishing , Online , Tournament , Amen
Mobile Marketing
2007-08-23 02:47:00 Text messaging is getting more and more popular. I personally don’t know how to send a text message but I’m an old foggy. I’m not supposed to know that sort of stuff. that the younger generations thing if you ask me. My son can text message and my wife works for a telecommunications company but she herself has no clue how to send a text message. Apparently this method of communication must be really popular because now they have those unlimited text messaging plans (don’t know why they didn’t do that in the first place) and phones with built in keyboards so a person doesn’t have to worry about knowing how to use the letters on there phone. They make it easy for their smaller clients to manage their own mobile marketing campaigns. It is so simple that if you can surf the web, you can launch mobile content. And lets face it if you have used a computer you can probably surf the web. Cellit also has the tools ... More About: Marketing , Mobile , Mobile Marketing , Bile
Phelios Games
2007-08-23 02:35:00 I get a lot more time to play games online than my wife does. My son has everyone beat, but he is home schooled. He finishes his work in the morning and spends most of the rest of his time playing games. Phelios is a game site designed by an Independent developer of downloadable games for Windows and Macintosh. Thats the only drawback to the games is they have to be downloaded. They offer both windows and Mac games and I know how Mac games can be hard to find. You can also find RPG games on the site. Those of are sons thing.I would rather play something that I don’t have to download. But there are still a lot of good looking games on there. Including one that would be excellent for home schoolers. It would t each them to save on there energy bills. More About: Games , Elio

Wonderful News!!!
2007-08-20 16:53:00 Well I was feeling pretty good Thursday having sold out of supplies and having a nice long weekend. I had two checks I couldn’t cash until Monday and called in this morning to go ahead and place my order for more supplies. My chemist tells me he got loads of orders in on Friday and won’t be able to get mine shipped until Wednesday. So it will be here Thursday and that means I miss an entire weeks worth of work. I might be able to scrape together a few sales on Friday but its unlikely. I have about 170 dollars left from the weekend to last all week long. I do have a case thats supposed to go out tomorrow to my local church and that at least is all cash. I don’t have to take cost out of it because its already paid for. That will be an extra 200 and we should be able to live on that. I think. My wife has a lot of money in her PayPal account. She is trying to get a savings put together though and doesn’t want to touch that. She is going to... More About: News , Wonderful
Boat Angel
2007-08-15 03:16:00 You may or may havenot heard of car angel before. Its a charity organization that you donate your car to. Boat Angel is similiar. This charity takes boat donations and sells them at auctions and then they donates the proceeds to the charities they sponsor. It doesn’t matter if the boat is in running condition or not. I looked at some of those boats that were damaged in hurricane Katrina. I wonder if they would take boats with gaping holes in the side. Boat angel is similar to car angel and I think there actually run by the same people. They probably wouldn’t. i doubt those boats were anywhere near salvageable. Maybe for spare parts of something. The proceeds are what goes to charity, not the boats themselves. They will also take RV’s and jets as well. There are limitations as far as what they will take thats not running, but pick up is completely free. I don’t own a boat. I wish I did. Bear is always wishing he had a boat so we could go out on th...
Americans unhappy about inflation and Bush is shocked!!!
2007-08-14 16:54:00 This man is soo out of touch with the people he represents. But then again when was the last time president Bush had to go grocery shopping. I can just imagine his shock when he is out of office and has to pay for his own groceries for a change. Imagine his surprise when he finds out milk is now 4 dollars a gallon! I splurged the other day and bought a box of cheezit. Those cost me 4 dollars also. A package of steaks, pork chops, ribs, chicken, any type of meat at all is now between 6 to 25 dollars a package. Even ground beef is coting 4 dollars a tube. According to news reports half of America makes under 50k a year but even those making 70k a year or under are feeling the pinch. The other night while making dinner my wife discussed the f act that were simply going to have to start eating less animal products and learn to live on a a more vegetarian diet. It kind of sucks because none of us like vegetables all that much (except my wife) but were going to have to learn ... More About: Inflation , Americans , Flat
My wife the horder
2007-08-11 22:35:00 Aahhh yes 1 more lousy 100 dollar bill for this month and two weeks of freedom of income. Meaning that there are no more bills attached to my income for at least two weeks. That is of course as long as something else expensive doesn’t pop up that we have to pay for. My wife did inform me today that the pump for the waterfall in the Koi pond is burned out. Something about the leaves from the weeping willow getting caught in the engine. We’ve been wanting to get a more powerful one anyway. We also need a deep freeze. I think we will be getting that before we replace the pond pump. Its to hot to hang out outside and enjoy it anyway. We had a deep freeze when we owned the house in the hill in the gated neighborhood. I can remember how my wife insisted on stocking foods. I thought she was a little funny in the head at the time. I grew up with money and lived in wealthy neighborhoods. I didn’t really know what it was like to go without. Her low income upbrin... More About: Wife
Bad Things happen
2007-08-11 06:42:00 A friend of mine just had his life fall apart on him. A few years ago he discovered he had a 10 year old son. The product of a one night stand. Social services was contacting him to tell him that his son had been taken from his mother and they would like to place him with his father. He took the kid and things were ok at first. Then the kid started acting out in school and ended up in Juvinille detention. Between the phone calls from the school and the problems with teachers this friends very good high paying job was suddenly at risk because he was always having to leave work. This job was at a car lot and they provided him with a car to drive and he had sold his truck. I told him not to but he did anyway. He ended up getting demoted and had to move back in with his brother. His son has ended up going back to Oregon to live with his grandmother. His new position did not provide him with a car to drive so he had to rely on his brother to get anywhere. He decided to join t... More About: Things
Who is he trying to convince, America or Himself.
2007-08-10 07:03:00 Bush made his second announcement insisting the economy is strong. I have news for him. its not strong. The price of gas has doubled and that in turn has caused everything else to double. My wife and I went to buy groceries tonight and there were very few items in the cart that were less than 3 dollars (and we buy generic). A few years ago it used to be that there were very few items in our cart that were above 2 dollars. When you walk through the grocery store you see people walking around with very little in there carts and worried looks on your face. The only new cars you see in the street belong to the rich. I had my exhaust fixed on my Rav4 a few months ago and the owner of the auto shop couldn’t barter with me because mine was the only business he had had in a week. “People just aren’t fixing there cars anymore, everything else is just to expensive”. And he is right. My wife says she can’t go garage saling on Thursdays and Fridays anymo... More About: America , Vince
Bargins Galore on 64
2007-08-09 01:17:00 Well I’m coming back from Missouri with plenty of money in my pocket this time. The electric bill is finally paid and I’m going to go ahead and pay the electric bill too. Just the cable bill and the 100 dollar furniture payment and were done for the month with 3 weeks to spare. Man what a concept. 3 weeks worth on income with no bills attached to it. Its been so long since that happened I can’t help but think “I must have forgot something”. This week there is a giant garage sale happening long the length of old highway 64. Its called Bargins galore on 64 and this year, for a change we actually have some money to do some shopping at it. I bought both of my kids beds and mattress as this sale and even got some things that are decorating my sons bedroom. More About: Galore
Car Angel and Boat Angel
2007-08-08 04:52:00 Wikipedia defines an angel is a supernatural being found in many religions. In Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism, angels, as attendants or guardians to man, typically act as messengers from God. In some cultures, they are believed to be the most powerful type of fairy. Boat Angel is a organization which receives donations of boats, RV’s, and planes which they sell and then use the proceeds to benifit multiple charities around the world and in the USA. If you have an old car or a boat which is in an unusable state or maybe its going to be harder to sell than what you would get for it you can give it to BoatAngel and it would be of great help to them. This type of organization is often helpful when you don’t have funds to donate to charity but you need to get rid of that old car in your driveway They also have a boat angel outreach center for which funds are needed for development. It will serve to transform youth who may be headed in the wrong direc...
A pretty good Monday
2007-08-07 01:16:00 I decided to work locally today and check on some customers instead of heading out of town right away. I think my wife appreciated it because she hasn’t finished the laundry yet. I like her to have it done before I go out of town and she tries hard to get it done for me, but she works a lot more than I do for her money so I can’t complain to much. Well, I can but it would get me in trouble. I had a good day today despite staying in town. Good for a Monday anyway. If that church in town buys the case tomorrow like I think they will its going to be an even better day. I actually have enough to pay the electric bill thats due on Wednesday but I think I would rather wait so I can go out of town with more money. I always take 100 dollars for gas and hotel but its nice to know I have extra in case I have a flat tire or something like that. The late fee on the electric bill is only 7 dollars so its not going to hurt me that much if it is late. I can alw... More About: Pretty , Onda
Broke again after another weekend of unexpected events
2007-08-05 20:56:00 Another week has passed and I am once again completely broke. I actually had 400 dollars left after my week this week, bills being paid and everything. we bought minimal groceries this week too, about 60 dollars worth. Then one of the cats we have been working on getting fixed went into labor and had tow kittens stuck inside of her she couldn’t deliver. 1 emergency C section later and 156 dollars broker she is fine. She is also fixed now too. Then I had to buy school supplies tis weekend for my daughter who still goes to a public school. That was 60 dollars. I’m not totally broke. But still, mostly broke. And of course next week we have the 260 dollar electric bill due thats not paid yet and a cable bill for 190. My wife is going to cover that. The problem is its due on the 11th and the funds to cover it are not going to be here until the 15th. If I have a good week ican cover it, but its going to have to be better than this week. Our New Home
2007-08-03 22:18:00 Its been an ok week as far as sales go. Nothing like what I was having in the spring but since both crops and tourism in the state have had a bad year its all right. I played golf with Pastor Steve this morning, from the church The Journey. I managed to loose 14 balls in the process. My golfing really sucked this morning. But I was able to borrow Pastor Steve’s truck to pick up wood to build the window forms in the new house my wife and I are building. It was determined by my wife a few years ago that the best way to protect ourselves from the ups and downs of our self employed lifestyle and an economy that has become unstable is to create a home thats very energy efficient, requires requires minimal repairs all of the time, cannot be destroyed by fire, floods, or tornadoes (Arkansas is the tornado bowl of the USA) and can be paid for as its built with very little skill required. After a few years of searching we discovered Earthbag construction. Its a very remarkab... More About: Home
Luxury Private Jet Charter
2007-08-03 00:32:00 Mmm Luxury Jet Char t er. Now that would be the way to travel. Certainly much better than driving around the country in a tiny little Toyota Rav 4 . Its not like I can afford anything like that. I mean it could happen. I could win the lotter and be able to afford something like that. Imagine it, a jet all of your very own. You don;t own it, but you are renting it for you own personal use. The flight attendant attends to no one but you. The flight is even catered with what ever types of foods you desire. Luxury jet travel is intended for royalty, famous people, the incredibly rich, and professional athletes. Even my very wealthy mother could never afford anything like that. A trip to Tennessee
2007-07-29 23:46:00 I don’t remember if it was Thursday or Friday now. I think it was Thursday because I can distinctly remember getting on my wifes nerves as she tried to work. She claims its harder to get things done when I’m around. It has something to do with the fact that I think just because she’s there and I’m there she doesn’t have to do anything. We managed to stay under on groceries this week. About 3 dollars under the 100 dollars we allowed ourself. I spent about 20 dollars on cinder blocks to finish off a section of the raised wooden walkway we are slowly building around the house and that was pretty much it, other than some movies I rented. I still had the money I needed to go out of town and then some. Well Friday I get a phone call from a man in Missouri. He’s heard about my cleaner and placed an order. So Monday instead of going to Missouri I’ll be going to Tennesse e which is a lot farther away. I cheapest hotel I could find was 66 b... More About: Trip
Plastic Surgery
2007-07-28 05:40:00 My wife would love to have breast implants. Who am I kidding. I would love for her to have breast implants. I can’t complain. I love her for who she is and its not as though she is flat chested or anything. But I know the effects of gravity have made her uncomfortable in her own body. Her biggest complaint is the fact they they now sag a little and they didn’t before and she sticks to herself. Since she hates to wear a bra this is a really uncomfortable feeling for her. They can do some really amazing things with plastic surgery these days. I have even seen a website where they give breast lifts to men. I haven’t reached a point where I need anything like that done. With my luck I would probably put on a lot of weight afterward and stretch out the scars so that they showed a lot more. We would probably have to win the lottery to afford to get something like that done for her. If I won the lottery then I could afford to have it done. If I won the lott... A crappy week
2007-07-27 16:52:00 Well I’m back from a really crappy week of sales. I made 600 dollars with week and spent 200 of it just going out of town Wednesday. Then Thursday I made 2 lousy 1 case sales and that was it. Its enough to pay a few of the bills I had in the bill box and buy groceries this week and send me out of town Monday. I can pay the water bill which was late as of last week, the 50 dollar computer payment, buy groceries (you have to set aside 100 dollars for that anymore, everything is to damn expensive) and have 100 dollars to go out of town with on Monday. There is a little bit left after all of that but its for little things we might need over the weekend. It seems that we always need something we didn’t plan on. After bills and expenses I always have to have 300 dollars left for the weekend every single week. That’s for groceries, leaving town on Monday and what ever we might need during the weekend. Sometimes we don’t need all of it but despite our... More About: Week
