Vintage French School Soap

People who have never been to French schools and are younger than 20 years old, don't know what I'm about to talk about: the vintage soaps we had at school.I'm sure they look vintage and cool to you but it was every child's nightmare!What is it exactly? The soap is stuck in a stick so it can't be removed (and therefore stolen) and it's big enough to last a loooonnnggg time (yeah they have tight budget).But the thing is the soap did everything but wash your hands, I guess it was just bad quality soap. The other thing was that the soap didn't stay on the stick but rolled around it so you could grap the amount needed.A real pain!But yeah it doesn't look vintage and kind of cool!Oh and if anyone knows how to call it in French, it would be such a relief for me:)Can be bought on this site.Via Coolhunting.com

Chez Le Quartier Hotels nous aimons Paris donc tout ce qui s'y rapporte de près ou de loin nous intéresse. Quand nous avons appris que le nouveau film de Cedric Klapisch s'appelle Paris et se déroule .... à Paris évidemment alors forcément nous nous y sommes intéressés.C'est l'histoire d'un Parisien (Romain Duris) qui est malade et qui se demande s'il va mourir. Son état lui donne un regard neuf et différent sur tous les gens qu'il croise. Le fait d'envisager la mort met soudainement en valeur la vie, la vie des autres et celle de la ville toute entière.Des maraîchers, une boulangère (Karine Viard), une assistante sociale, un danseur, un architecte, un SDF, un prof de fac (Fabrice Luchini), une mannequin, un clandestin camerounais... Tous ces gens, que tout oppose, se retrouvent réunis dans cette ville et dans ce film.Vous pouvez penser qu'ils ne sont pas exceptionnels mais, pour chacun d'entre eux, leur vie est unique. The beautiful British magazine X2 did us the honour by visiting Le Quartier Bastille Le Faubourg.Here is what they say about the hotel: Le Quartier Bastille is a "delightful, unpretentious little hotel (...) with numerous touches that add comfort and tell the guest that this is an individual and much-loved establishment - not an experience too often found at £50 per person in a major European city".Every hotel room has a green apple on the pillow. Here is the explanation given by Franck Altruie, director of LGH Hotels:The inspiration comes "First of all colour (...) we wanted to add something 'live'. Amis étrangers, il faut que vous sachiez quelque chose. La France se partage en deux en ce qui concerne un élément culinaire hautement important : Le pain au chocolat ou la chocolatine?Ah voilà la Grande Discussion entre les français habitants au nord et ceux habitants au sud.
