Jack and Faye came by on a cold Sunday after attending church to open up the Kenneth Sandlin Center building for us. It was warm inside and there was a stove that Brenda used to cook. Tigers Savors
2008-01-16 03:12:00 Our dog Tiger went missing about a week ago during a storm here in North, Carolina. Usually she is fine outside if there isn't to many distracting things. The night she got lost though a late night storm came through. Tiger is deathly afraid of thunder and lighting and so, I believe she panicked while hopping around (she has three legs) in the woods. She was found nearly eight miles away by Julie and Leyla Metin. She was gone for two days before we got her back. Brenda's mom, Mama, made some phone calls that morning to some of her neighbors. Her first lead was from a guy named Tyler. He spotted her outside his house and brought her in. It was apparent she wasn't happy so he let her out. Mama, Brenda, and I searched for her the next couple of days, handing out fliers with her picture. We asked the local animal shelter to give us a call if anyone found her. We had another lead the second day. A family we talked to said they woke up, the night she had gone missing, to a strange sou... More About: Tigers

Fox News requested that Bill come to Charlotte the other day, and Michel came to pick us up and drive us over to Fox's studio. Is The Jouney Over?

Though this journey is over, we are still on the journey called life. Bill and Brenda intend to take a brake, and decide what we will do next. There is talk of a return trip.

The Final Ride of This Journey
2008-01-08 20:46:00 Bill plans on making the final ride of this journey on Sunday, the 13th of January. We welcome all capable riders and their horses to participate (you and your horse should be capable of riding in traffic; you are responsible for the behavior of your animal and your safety). This ride will be a celebration of the journey, and has been plan so that it is short and enjoyable for all. Bill plans on arriving at the Opportunity House around 11am. Those who wish to ride with Bill should meet there. The Opportunity House is located at 1411 Asheville Hwy. Hendersonville, NC. A number of people have already expressed that they plan on riding. From there, Bill and those that are riding with him, will continue on to Schroaders Honda, which is located at US 64 at I-26, 220 Mitchell Dr., Hendersonville, NC. Arrival in Asheville
2008-01-05 20:59:00 Brenda, Dallas and I are waiting for Bill just in the Asheville city limits. Bill has about 4 miles to go till he meets up with us. Luckily there is an open wireless network in the vicinity. Tomorrow Bill plans on ridding through Asheville. We have coordinated with the Asheville Police Department and they planned out a safe route for Bill and Blackie. He will be on Riverside Dr. and make his way to Lyman St. He will then follow Lyman to Amboy Rd. From Amboy he'll take State St. to Haywood Rd. and then onto Brevard Rd. We will make a stop in The Biltmore Square Mall parking lot some time between 12:00pm and 2:00pm (this is just an estimate). Bill and Brenda Renew their Vows
2008-01-04 01:48:00 On Monday, December 31, 2007 Bill and I renewed our wedding vows. This was a special occasion for us. We were pleased to be able to do this in the exact same place we did in 1980. The folks at Overholdt's Hardware store were kind enough to keep the store open late for us that day. Some of our family, and the friends we made in Tennessee attended. We appreciate all of your support in our journey. Without folks like you this would not have been possible. At this writing I am sitting in a cabin in Hot Springs NC. No, it's not fancy. It doesn't even have a restroom inside. There are three bunks that will sleep maybe 5 people. There are 4 of us sharing the cabin now. We have limited Internet access which slows our ability to add content to our web site at this time. We will still be adding data and video's to our web site and I plan to begin serious work on my book as soon as we settle down a little.
