PC Fair III 2007, Johor Bahru
2007-12-15 16:40:00
As I promised, me & my friend visited the PC Fair III 2007 at Johor International Convention Center this afternoon. The place was crowded and very few parking left at the multi storey car park (as usual). The car parking gave very attractive rate compare with Thursday I visited, MYR4.00 per entry or per day. Some carry stocks in......Some carry out again.....While we walked in to the main entrance, you cannot find a space in any single corner. So crowded and pack of peoples!! I noticed that, in the fair this time…..you can see some new products (unlikes previously, only price war). And also this time, not only computer related products are exhibits here….but even you can see SONY LCD TV, Energizer battery??! (I’m not kidding!) Banks promote credit cards (everywhere!), camera booths, backpacks, mobile phone telcos :- Maxis & Celcom promoting their 3G data packages and GPS devices – Garmin & others brands, and they claim the maps loaded in the devices are M...

2007-12-13 10:51:00
This is the first time the regular PC Fair exhibition (organizes by PIKOM) held at Johor International Convention Center (Pesada Johor) (N1°27.700' E103°45.684')I just dropped by to see the preparation of this big event at JB. As you can see every contractors are diligently continued with their tasks without a moment’s respite. At the same time, I also walk around this big building.......The washroom. The parking auto pay machine.Parking at JICC is RM2.50 for the first hour!!And I found this KFC Fast Food Restaurant at the back of JICC equipped with free Wifi services and Maybank ATM machine. The PC Fair III which is going to start tomorrow will be the first biggest computer exhibition in JB. I noticed the booth setting up there almost 2 to 3 times more than previous event.I will update the event on this Saturday (15th December 2007).

Dim Sum Restaurant at Malacca (Malacca 11-12th Nov 2007)
2007-11-12 08:00:00
Wake up in the morning quite late. After settle and pack everything, we checked out from the hotel and drive for our “Brunch” (Breakfast and lunch together). We were looking at one Dim Sum (點心) restaurant along Jalan Gajah Berang. Info from 9W2KG. After around 30 minutes of merry-go-round, we found the shop finally. The restaurant call “Ban Hong Xiang Tea House”. (N2°12.524 E102°14.567) 9W2KG advised me to go early or after the breakfast time, because the place is pack and crowded during morning session. The best time is after 11am. When we reach the shop, they are about to close. Luckily there are still some dim sum enough for us! All were delicious! The meat ball was good serves with homemade chili! Most of the 'dim sum' here are worth trying. No regrets for finding it! This shop seems like a family business to me, because I can see most employees here have similar face. Look like brother and sister. The shop open from Monday to Sunday, will close ...

Special Homemade Herbal Tea at Malacca (Malacca 11-12th Nov 2007)
2007-11-12 07:59:00
The info also given by 9W2KG, he said that the herbal tea only available in this particular shop. You can’t find it anywhere in Mala ysia or this region anymore! Because of curiosity, we decided to find it.Along Bukit Cina Lane, we were ‘Merry-Go-Round’ again!! We asked anyone who walk along the street. After an hour, when we about to give up, surprisingly see THIS!! GPS coordinates : N2°11.691 E102°15.131 We are wondering why we cannot spot it after so many round, it’s because it’s not a shop! It’s an old house along the road.I bought half dozen of it, cost me RM24.00. Wah! Very economy! We spotted this Colourful Tony's Guest House while driving away of this Herbal Tea shop.N2°11.686 E102°15.158

Portuguese Village (Malacca 11-12th Nov 2007)
2007-11-12 07:58:00
Heard about this village long time ago, never have chance to drive around. So I decide to go there for some photos. (About 10 minutes drive from Hotel Equatorial) Basically the village looks like ordinary malay village, the structure also doesn’t represent the culture of Portuguese . You will not notice this if you miss the signage “Portuguese Village ”. The only picture I snap is this San Pedro Devils Curry Restaurant. N2°11.018 E102°16.031

2007-11-12 07:57:00

(N2°11.975 E102°15.084)The queue was long when I place my order. You see cars stop beside it and many customers surround the stall waiting for their delicious 'Popiah'.It's took me 15 minutes queue, for one popiah?!1:30pm - 5:30pm7:30pm - 10:30pmSmall : RM2.50Big : RM3.00Price is higher than normal popiah, but the size also double of normal popiah those selling at JB.I fell regretted because only bought one! The taste was so good and different compare with normal type. That's end my trip to Malacca.

Taiwan Beef Noodle (Malacca Trip 11-12th Nov 2007)
2007-11-11 08:23:00
Had our lunch Taiwan Mee (Noodle), this stall located along Jalan Gajah Berang.Location : N2°12.571 E102°14.557 I believe it's because of you can't easily taste the Taiwanese noodle over here, that's why the stall was so crowded during lunch time. The soup is hot and spicy! For those who love spicy, worth trying. Special type of noodle, won't have else where. Fried beef was good!Around the shop is hot during noon time.Prices are reasonable.

2007-11-11 08:20:00
Wife wants to shop after dinner, so we just hop in the Mahkota Parade beside the restaurant. This is the larges shopping mall in Mala cca and won the Best Shopping Complex Malaysia Tourism Award in 1994/95. But I feel that the ‘Auto Pay’ machine is still not enough……Went back to hotel after 1 hour walk in the mall and bought few can of 'SKOL' from the convenience store opposite of the hotel.End my day 1 of Malacca trip.

Family Sunday outing as usual......we like to try out the seafood at Gelang Patah, almost 40km away from my house. And it's took us about an hour to reached.1645 hrs, we walked around the Gelang Patah old town, just simple as only 2 rows of shops and houses. (N1°26.787 E103°35.340)The drink serve at the side.......The reason I call this hidden restaurant, is because the special location along the river side. You will easily miss out if you don't notice the small lane. While waiting for the foods, we can see customers walk in non-stop after 1730 hrs. The restaurant is full of customers between 30 minutes only.......We ordered :-* Sweet sour clam (Fresh and delicious!)* Honey Fried chicken wing (Special recipe, worth trying!!
