Haitian Earthquake Victims - This One?s for You, James
2010-01-22 04:29:00
Tribute to a special person who touched my life... On January 12, 2010, a monstrous earthquake shattered Port au Prince in Haiti. A friend and former co-worker, James W. Coates, was working in the UN building at the time as an information officer. For 11 days we've been holding out hope that James survived and was just too busy helping the injured to contact home. But hope died when his body was recovered and identified on January 21 - 9 days after the quake. read more

How to Buy a Bathing Suit
2010-01-18 03:34:00
Trauma-free shopping that you'll survive - we promise! The only thing worse than bikini shopping is settling on something that looked good in the store, but fails to deliver on the beach. 28 Days ? Tropical Paradise or Bust
2010-01-17 15:33:00
To breathe out, you must first breathe in... Twelve days ago I began the marathon of counting down until my cruise. Gathering, planning and executing is something I do well at work but translating that for  vacation planning is hard work. It's more about growing devil may care attitude than actual planning. After all, the ROI is much different for a vacation. read more

Romantic Dining on Cruise Ships
2010-01-11 12:12:00
Busting free from the cliché of cruise ship dining There's something about a romantic dinner that goes straight to the primitive, emotional part of the brain. Oysters spoon fed by your lover. A sip of red wine. A nibble of chocolate. It's the universal currency for lovers and tapping into its emotional power is a tango we all want to dance - over and over and over and over again. read more

Hurricane Fay - Hype or Hurricane?
2008-08-19 11:35:00
Hurricane season is in full swing - or is it? Florida may be our favorite state to hang out and swim with the dolphins - but maybe not during hurricane season. The National Hurricane Center in Miami is buzzing with activity as tourists and residents try to figure out what Hurricane Fay (the 6th storm this season) will do as she works her way further up the coast. But even though she's been given her own name, she's not technically a "real" hurricane yet. read more
