Camaro is back

The importance of local food

I just liked the words importance and local food in one sentence :) I saw this Alicia Silverstone's Google talk few months ago. And it made sense. Eventhough I watched it just for Alicia Silverstone at the beginning :)So, here you can see a pair of Czech pears, sweet and yummy :) What is even more interesting is that we now have a couple of very good farmer markets in Prague happening every weekend. Something that grew up during the summer and looks to be becoming more and more popular. Which is definitely a good thing. More About: Food , Local

Not a good one but at least it's something
2010-10-09 20:32:00 So why not start with something embarrassing from Bratislava.Still in Bratislava, the New bridge.Now in Prague. We went to see a field hockey tournament with Honza and his family.And she was the main reason we went there :)In southern Bohemia, the home of our cottage.Back (well, the photos are not in a good order...) in Bratislava. The new Eurovea shopping center which basically became the new center of the town. Kind of.Prague, heading somewhere north with a bunch of pretty american cars.Oh, here come the books. I've read so many lately. These are from Czech author Michal Viewegh. "Ucastnici zajezdu" is my favorite.And this set arrived from Amazon. The "Outliers" and the "Linchpin" are great!Some snow in Prague when it shouldn't have been there.Well, definitely not in order because this is once again in Bratislava. 2010-09-25 00:24:00 Prague was quite empty tonight. We have national holiday next Tuesday so that may be the reason everybody leaves. Here: a friend's wife. I'm leaving tomorrow :) Hotel at namesti Republiky square.Guess what :) in Rytirska street.New favorite shoes.This lace was a bit longer but not a big issue for us :)And here they are, nicely in pairs.
Trip with Piglet and the monkey
2010-09-07 21:36:00 We started at Zbraslav, where the quite famous yearly veteran car race is held. But this time we weren't there for the race.Piglet took the wheel and took us out of Prague.Then the monkey continued in the journey to the south...... passing some pretty nice houses and gardens...... to finally arrive to Slapy reservoir dam to see some hotels and various locations.And after all the Very Small Animal was happy :) More About: Monkey , Trip

2010-03-07 14:01:00 I have a few photos I'd like to show you...Like this never ending attempt to write a letter without a mistake :) Late night at work.In Aero Cinema. Well, you have to experience this one by yourself as it is a living organism. People go in and out during projection, the projection might get, well, terribly wrong etc. But there are films you won't see anywhere else. And it's not that bad after all. Just go there when you're in Prague.... oh, and their entrance is very dangerous :)Now the snow series.Our family had this car when I was younger. It was great! :)Exhibition of artists who were rejected from various art academies. I think the title was "under the line".We were there with a friend...... who had her own exhibition just week later.In Vienna...... to see Andy Warhol's Cars and Annie Leibovitz's exhibition. The greatness of randomness
2010-01-31 14:22:00 The random photos, mostly from Christmas time before the snow entered Prague.Is 'not having distilled water for developing' a good excuse for not posting new photos? :)One old the very old houses in Zbraslav which would easily be transformed into some kind of museum, I guess. But they live there so that would be inconvenient. Well, bearing in mind the location of this shot... then it could have been blood. But "In beer veritas" ... ok, not so smooth but you understand me, right? :)My playground from age 4 to 6.And this is the end of Prague.I always imagine who and how creates these decorations...OK, back to work now. I guess you would enjoy them more if you were I and have my memories, but... you know... :) Here waiting for the ballet performance in Strasnicke theatre.With Honza, my high school classmate, as one of the main dancers. One of the advantages of having a friend as a bartender is he can serve you cocktails that exists only in his mind.We went to see Lars von Trier's Antichrist with Tomas. I almost died at that movie. Please, rather don't go see that movie yourself.It was in Lucerna cinema so we stoped for a drink in Lucerna café. V Zatisi restaurant near Betlemske square.333 km away from V Zatisi restaurant... in Bratislava at Hviezdoslavovo square the next day.And guess who else was in Bratislava... Albert at Mustek metro station closes at 9 pm
2008-04-30 00:07:00 Albert grocery store at Mustek metro station. It closes at 9 pm. But it can easily happen that you stay in the line to the cashiers desk to half past nine. They are very very slow. Good thing is that they did a reconstruction of the whole store lately. It looks better now.Also, this is right in the middle of Wenceslas square.
