If someone reads this (and I hope someone does! ;-) and can give me any information regarding the following question, please leave a comment, so we can share your know-how to everybody!1. Buying a Round-trip or an One-way ticket to Buenos Aires? I’m wondering if it’s possible to book a one-way flight to Buenos Aires. I think the problem is that I will come to Argentina as tourist which means actually I will have to leave the country after three months. I’d like don’t know exactly how long I will stay but I hope it will be at least one or two years. That’s why I don’t want to buy a ticket for returning back to Germany on a specific date. Do you have any recommendations? That's my first questions, more to come - for sure! :-)UPDATE (Feb 13, 2007): The first recommendationsAlan Patrick and Facundo noted down their recommen... Leaving your country without thinking
2007-02-08 21:57:00 Since a few months you can watch in German television lots of documentations about people moving from Germany to a foreign country. Sounds pretty interesting, I thought I probably can get some important information which could help me doing the right steps when I move to Argentina. Sounds pretty interesting, I thought I probably can get some important information which could help me doing the right steps when I move to Argentina.Well, most of these programs seem to be more like a comedy show. To give you an example: Two people (a couple in their mid-forties), both unemployed, wants to move to Paraguay to something like a “German village”. With out savings, without speaking Spanish, even without knowing the country! Their calculation: Paraguay is such a cheap country! We will live there like king and queen!Wow, how stupid!! Without having a job, without savings... how should this work? Well, a few weeks later I saw a short notice that they are now planning to move to Brazil because so many Germans live there and it’s much more developed compared to Paraguay… okay, good luck! Good question: "Why do you want to live here?"
2007-02-02 22:26:00 Since almost two years now I have this plan of moving to Argentina. Since last year I’m working on it – which means I’m learning Spanish, research for information about the country, and I’m also looking for people who are living in Buenos Aires – which is the best way to get a first insight into daily life in Buenos Aires.Deby recently wrote in her blog “TangoSpam:La Vida Con Deby” three very impressive posts about the question “Why do you want to live here?”. Everybody who thinks about moving to Argentina - like I do - should read these posts and think about it! Yes, Deby’s words make me think, too! Very outspoken words which bring you back to the reality of living in Buenos Aires. An example:…The air pollution, the noise pollution are a constant. It is not going to go away. Every time you open your mouth you get "No entiendo." (I don't understand) Before when you were a tourist it was OK. Now that you live here, it gets on your nerves. You need to commun... Flat share in Buenos Aires - Wohngemeinschaft in Buenos Aires
2006-12-27 10:10:00 From time to time I’m searching the web regarding possibilities to find a place to live in Buenos Aires . On www.flatshare.com.ar Alejandro offers accommodation in his apartment located on Paraná street in Buenos Aires. He provides two special conditioned bedrooms for 250-300 US$.I think a shared apartment is a very good possibility to get in contact to local people and, of course, it's a well-priced oportunity. I bookmarked the page and will check it out as soon as it’s time (end of this year).*****Heute habe ich zufällig eine vielversprechende Website gefunden, wo Alejandro seine Wohnung als WG anbietet zu m.E. recht vernünftigen Preisen (250-300 US$): www.flatshare.com.arIn einer WG zu leben, ist vermutlich die beste Möglichkeit neue Leute kennen zu lernen und so mit dem Leben in Buenos Aires so richtig zu starten. More About: Share , Flat

Reply to my application from AHK Argentina - Erste Antwort der AHK Argentin
2006-10-31 22:16:00 A very quick answer I received today to my application I’ve send yesterday to the AHK Argentina ("Cámara de Industria y Comercio Argentino-Alemana"). It seems like a standardized Email as a first reaction to any application. The main information it contains are that it’s useful to have a work experience of at least four years as well as solid knowledge of the Spanish language.Well, at the moment I still don’t achieve any of these assumptions, but I’m optimistic anyway. Still time for improving!
More About: Argentina , Tina , Gent

2006-10-29 17:15:00 Just now I’ve send my application documents to the AHK Argentina (Cámara de Industria y Come rcio Argentino-Aleman a). It costs me about 30€ - I hope it will pay off! :-)For this price the AHK Argentina will put my application to their database as well as into their monthly newsletter who will go out to all members (companies in Argentina), and this for a timeframe up to 12 months. For uploading the application it’s necessary to send your CV as well as a picture. In my case it was a bit complicated because I suddenly get some error messages in Portuguese. But at the end I made it somehow. ;-)Let’s see what will happen. For the earliest start I entered 1. April 2007, so I still have some time. Maybe some of you already have experiences with this way of job search? Wohnungssuche in Buenos Aires - House-hunting in Buenos Aires
More About: House , Such , Ouse , Hunting
Where / how to find a Job in Argentina?
2006-10-28 20:33:00 For living in Buenos Aires I’ll need to work to have a regular income, needless to say. That’s (amongst others) one of the reasons why I’d like to go to Buenos Aires – I think there I will have the best opportunities to find a job in the area of (online) marketing. To work in Argentina it’s necessary to obtain a work permit. My current idea is first to go to Argentina with the tourist visa (three months) and use this time to look for a job. As soon as I get a job it should be no problem to get the work permit (the employer needs to request it). I’m aware of the fact it’s not easy to find a job from afar (Germany), however I try to look for opportunities online, for example on this websites:www.bumeran.com.arwww.computraba jo.com.arwww.ar.acciontrabajo.comFurtherm ore detailed information about visa requirements for Argentina could be found on www.justlanded.com. I’ll also ask the Embassy of Argentina in Berlin for advice – they should know more. :-)*****Um in Argentin... More About: How To , Find , Tina , Here
