Riviera Maya Mexico Beach Vacation Resort Holiday
2007-07-17 22:15:00
journeyPod is your guide to luxury travel around the world.  Come explore the Riviera Maya region of Mexico just south of Cancun.  Secluded beaches and charming resorts make this area the best secret in Mexico.  We stayed right on the beach in Playa del Carmen at the amazing Shangri-La Caribe Beach Village Resort.  Their palapas are right on the sand and steps from the ocean waves!  The staff was great and the food was authentic Mayan and quite tasty. Playa is Bohemian and has a great vibe.  Everyone is quite friendly and the experience is very relaxing compared to the hustle and bustle of Cancun about 45 minutes away.
