???Chater Road , in Central on Hong Kong Island, is named after Catchick Paul Chater (1846-1926) a prominent Hong Kong businessman of his era. An amazing acrobatic/dance show
2009-01-17 03:29:00
Acrobats ? Dance -Kung Fu-Acrobatic Drama: Journey to the WestAnyone wanting to see an amazingly energetic show of acrobatics/dance should not miss this incredible performance based on The Monkey King story.Highlights of the show included a mind boggling scene of strength and flexibility by a male and female gymnast clad in body hugging white costumes as they performed acrobatic dance using incredible feats of strength and balance. This was the human body at its best! The final scene based in 'Hell' was another highlight of the show where the stage filled with incredibly fit acrobats bouncing all over the stage on trampolines performing truly inspirational acts as they spun in all directions while flying through hoops.Complimenting this incredibly diverse acrobatic/dance show was the staging of the where no expense has been spared on costumes, props and backdrops.Tickets can be bought online through http://www.piao.com.cn/ Ends 31st January 2009.http://www.piao.com.cn/en_piao/ticke ...

Mid Autumn Festival
2008-09-15 05:03:00
China?s Mid Autumn Festival was celebrated on 14th September this year. Visitors will not only notice temperatures moderating as summer starts to wane, but will see locals loaded with beautiful looking bags and boxes exquisitely decorated as they exit crowded shopping centers. It is traditional for families to come together at this time of year. In China the full moon has always been a time for family gatherings. Some families visit local parks to view the moon, enjoy the cool night air, pray for a good year ahead and share mooncakes. The tradition is said to have started with the ancient ceremony of sacrificing to the Moon Goddess. These days mooncakes come in many shapes and flavours. There are snowy moon cades filled with mung bean paste, tea moon cakes containing tea and fruit combinations like black tea and lychee, tea and pomelo, green tea and plum or butter tea. Other harder to find mooncakes contain chocolate with hazelnut, kumquat paste, milk and egg yolk and even plum. Many ...

Beijing Olympic Traffic Restrictions
2008-09-06 02:14:00
With traffic on Beijing ?s previously overcrowded roads now moving freely there has been much debate about the idea of keeping the odds and evens vehicle use law in place permanently. Website forums are awash with tens of thousands of people debating the traffic regulation. Many concede it will help improve Beijing?s air quality and traffic movements, however it is also pointed out that most of Beijing?s pollution comes from the factories.Whatever the outcome it is exciting to see so many people concerned to improve the environmental conditions in Beijing. The city has been a beautiful place to visit and live during the Olympic and Paralympic period.Do note that with the opening of the Paralympics tonight that tight traffic control measures are in place around Olympic Park. Expect the same conditions for the closing ceremony.Hotels in BeijingBooks on China and BeijingBeijing PersonalsTagsBeijing China Beijing 0lympicsBook the Fujian Hotel Beijing Book the Beijing Qianyuan Internation...

Park Music Beijing provides many parks for people to escape the confines of their apartments and enjoy a more natural environment while socializing with family and friends. One of the many favourite past times in Beijing parks is to practise music. People can be found playing traditional musical instruments or singing their favourite songs in many of the parks. Amateur and professional musicians can also be heard around some of the famous historic landmarks like the Temple of Heaven. Jingshan Park is awash with mass choirs each Sunday, along with many smaller groups or individuals enjoying their time outdoors. 2008-08-31 12:23:00
Beijing Hotels Update Beijing continues to have a high rate of new hotels being developed in preparation not only for the Olympics but also for the ever increasing numbers of tourism and business travelers visiting the city. The massive expansion in the hotel industry is not just in five star hotels but includes three and four star hotels along with the slow to develop boutique hotels. Increasing numbers of hotels will continue to be built after the Olympics to cater for growing demands of travelers. Enticingly stylish boutique hotels can be found developing in some of Beijing?s ancient hutongs among the courtyard homes and busy street life that characterizes the hutongs. Other boutique hotels have been newly built and prove more popular with the Chinese market than hotels developed from poverty associated courtyard homes.
