World Cup, Baseball, and Friends

Over the last year or so, I have been rooming with friends who are in love with soccer or enjoy fantasy baseball quite heavily. As a result of this, I have been becoming a fan of both sports as well. Although I am not quite as addicted to the sports as they are, I am becoming more interested as time wears on. Since World Cup 2006 in Germany is rolling around, I decided to post this picture of Allianz Arena to get everyone pumped up for the summer's action. Go USA!

Japan/Taiwan Trip Update (More Travel As Well)

After a month of planning the trip to Japan , I have finally been able to buy my airline tickets to Japan/Taiwan . My flight leaves Portland on the 19th of June and I arrive in Taipei on the 20th. I will be in Taiwan with Jimmy and his family visiting Taipei, the countryside, beach, and any other places their family will want to show us (myself and Doug are their guests). After 6 days in Taiwan, myself and Doug plan on leaving to go to Japan (June 26). Our plan is to stay in Nagoya for the night before heading off to Kyoto. From there, we plan to follow our rough itinerary around Japan and leave Tokyo to come back home the July 11th. I will post a more solid itinerary when we settle on some places to stay.Also, on May 6th I am flying down to Tucson to pick up my brother from school (drive back to Portland). Japan Summer Trip and Possibly Taiwan

The past weekend I met with a friend, Doug, of mine to talk about planning a trip abroad for the summer (Jund 20th). We came to the conclusion that the most attractive trip would be to backpack around Japan with a possible side trip to Taiwan . Currently, we are both surveying the information about travel to Japan. At the moment, the cities we most want to visit are Tokyo, Kurashiki, Kyoto, and possibly Mt. Fuji. Our stay in Japan will consist of travelling down the southern part of the country for 15 days. Once we complete the adventure throughout the country, a possible sidetrip to Taiwan might be in the works or we will come back to the states. The lure of Taiwan is that Doug's family are good friends with Jimmy, a Taiwanese exhange they had hosted. We could possibly stay with Jimmy's family and have them take us around the country for almost free.We still have a lot of work to do, but we are hoping to finalize our plans, buy plane tickets, and reserve hostels (a few) by ...

Need Direction...

After reading a few articles about making money with blogs and Google's AdSense program, I am taking blogging a bit more seriously. Here are a few possibilities for blog themes:- Music (indie, rock, etc.)- Technology (programming, videogames, etc.) * probably focus on one subtopic- Sports (fantasy, team specific, etc.)- Mathematics- Literature (...everything)- Movies (all types)- Combination of these?I am going to figure out what I want to report (main focus) on later. Let me know what you think.
