The Xbox 360 Arca de has now launched, making the popular gaming console a more family-friendly and affordable system. The new system features:Wireless controlleran HDMI connection for high-def output256 MB of memory for storing gamesand 5 games. The included games are: PAC-MAN Championship Edition, Uno, Luxor 2, Boom Boom Rocket, and Feeding Frenzy. At $279.99, the low priced offering that plays games, TV shows, and music is sure to be very appealing to families as an all-in-one device. The Arcade's Family Settings feature also brings peace of mind to mom & dad, by allowing them to control the kind of content their kids watch and play. In addition the announcement of the console, also announced were the addition of more kid-friendly content for the Xbox: Looney Tunes cartoons, Nickelodeon's Blue’s Clues, The Backyardigans and iCarly. Also, SpongeBob SquarePants Underpants Slam and SHREK-N-ROLL games will also be available exclusively on Xbox LIVE Arcade.

PS3 In Guinness Book of Records

Guinness World Records has recognized Sony's Playstation 3 for setting a new milestone in distributed computing networks on September 16th by pushing Stanford University's Folding@Home project beyond the one petaflop barrier for the first time.The Folding@Home network currently has accounts for over 670,000 unique machines. The Cell Broadband Engine in the PS3 is at the heart of drastically speeding up the search for a link between the cause for a number of diseases and how proteins fold.Before the PS3 debut on the project last March, the total number of home PCs participating around the world was about 200,000, at about 250 teraflops. Project lead Vijay Pande said he was grateful for everyone's help.

PS3 Dualshock 3 is in super demand!

Well you just read that right..(as if we didn't expect that to happen). The Dualshock 3 for PlayStation 3 has been craved by almost every PS3 gamer from the moment the new controller was announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2007. After all, Sixaxis was missing one major element that made Dual Shock 2 such an immersive experience -- rumble.And Japan will be the first to get the new device, with the release scheduled for November 11th. However, consumers in Japan who haven't already placed a pre-order for the PS3 controller with force feedback may be out of luck for a while -- pre-orders have already sold out at various stores. Sony currently offers a black and a ceramic white model of the DualShock 3 which is priced at 5000 yen, or $47 US. A North American and Europe launch date nor price has been officially announced, but Sony has indicated it should be sometime in Spring 2008.

Wal-Mart has started manufacturing, shockingly cheaper, Wiimote knockoffs, official sources said these items are produced by a company called ToyQuest in Los Angeles, but certainly made in China, it’s a shameless attempt to get shoppers to drop $10 to $15 on a nearly unplayable toy just because it looks like the Nintendo Wiimote and a continued effort from China producing brand-name knock-offs that so closely resemble the original product that they can only be described as counterfeit, Vii anyone?Read the original article and more pictures.

The sequel to F.E.A.R. - Project Origin continues the supernatural suspense story of an escalating paranormal crisis that threatens to destroy a major American city. From what little i was able to see, it looks nothing short of mind blowing!!Monolith studios looks like they might have a killer on their hands. Now in my opinion, F.E.A.R extraction point was not that great and we all know it. Sure, it gave us a little more F.E.A.R (pun not intended), but it wasn't great.What the story is and how its going to pan out I still have no clue. They haven't announced a release date yet.
