One of my favorite RPG’s of last year has to be Mass Effect , which was an RPG made by Bioware released for the X-Box 360. You play as Commander Sheppard, who’s the first human ever to be enlisted in the Spectre’s, a galactic space force dedicated to preserve our way of life. The game was a mix between Halo and Star Wars; Knights of the Old Republic. Well, I have some great news to all Mass Effect fans out there. Bioware will be releasing a new mission, which can be downloaded from X-Box live on March 10th . The mission, entitled “Bring Down The Sky”, will include a new uncharted world and the introduction of the Batarians, an alien race featured in the Mass Effect novel, Mass Effect; Revelation. The Batarians have hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard region and set the ship on a collision course with nearby colony planet Terra Nova. Dallas Business Journal , a Texan local paper ran a story with the headline flatly saying, “Duke Nukem Forever confirmed for 2008, coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3.” The article quoted 3D Realms president Scott Miller as saying the game would not only be released by the end of the year, but would be arriving on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in addition to the PC. “We may miss the mark by a month or two, but I feel very confident that we’re on target this time,” Miller was quoted as saying. More and more people are becoming overweight, which can cause health risks like diabetes, heart attacks, etc. So what’s the USA government doing about it? A Democratic lawyer in New Mexico has called on the US government to place a one per cent tax on video games and video game equipment in a bid to raise funds to fight childhood obesity in the state. Gail Chasey said her ‘Leave No Child Inside‘ proposal would raise $4 million annually which would be used to promote a healthier lifestyle and to provide children with outdoor learning experiences.
