Tips and Suggestions for New Cafe.com Members

www.Cafe .com is a pretty new site, so I'd like to welcome the new users with some tips.  1) Make use of the social aspect of the site.  The chat boxes are there for your fun! Let people know you are waiting to play someone in a room, ask the host of a room to start the game, ask fellow gamers for tips on gameplay or just chat away about anything at all! 2) Try out the items!  Especially while we are in "beta" (the testing phase, where everything is free while we work out the bugs).  To get gold coins to purchase items, follow the "get more gold coins" link on the website or in the game hub.  Although there are prices listed, for now they are completely free!!! These items make gameplay more competitive, by increasing the effect of your play or disrupting the actions of your opponent.  (You can also purchase clothing and scenery for your avatar as well!) Enjoy, and stop by for more tips later on!

Welcome to the Cafe.com blog! Thank you for joining us for the beta test! An army of monkeys in Beijing, Paris, Singapore and New York worked countless extra hours to get this beta version out there. Yes, yes, we are international and dedicated. There's still a bevy of great things to add, and we also need to iron out things. You'll have more games, more characters and props for your avatar, more game enhancements and more fanciness overall. Another crazy update

Version 1.1.1.25 You know what? We added two more games in that version!! And this is only the first surprise, we also improved the UI and added lots of cool features. Not one, but two new games: - Music Connect: a dazzling puzzle game where you just step into the world of sound. - Space Dhoom: become a starship captain and rule the galaxy in the best action puzzler around. Of course these two games come with lots of maps and items you can use to enhance your powers and defeat your opponents. Ok, so this is a big surprise, but guess what? These two new games are totally free! You can play hours alone or with your friends and we will not ask you for any fee. One of the coolest features on cafe.com is the variety of options available to the user when creating their own avatar.  You are able to dress your avatar with different clothes, change their hairstyle, eye color, and even their skin tone! -Yuya

Remember, when playing games on Cafe.com, players have the ability to buy enhanced equipment such as better warships in Ironsides.  Why play with the default ship?  You can do more damage to your opponents by purchasing a superior ship like Obstructer.  Just go to the Gamestore, select a game, and start shopping! -Chris

Hi all, I leveled up today and earned the rank "Macchiato".  One of the cool features on cafe.com is the leveling system which shows how good a player is by looking at their rank. -Yuya

This version is mostly about improving the stability and reliability of the software. Lobby - Fixed: Inability to open the welcome page if IE7 is installed. - Fixed: Players had to wait 30 seconds when they select a certain game. - Fixed: The room icons in the game lobby cannot be refreshed as expected. - Fixed: The info pop-up after a normal download or update is corrected. - Fixed: The window minimize and maximize buttons appear correctly. - Known issue: Error messages appear in case of network lag. - Known issue: The auto-update dialog uses an older skin. A new version of the Cafe.com software is available, labeled v1.0.2.18. The most exciting change is the addition of three brand new avatar characters: Claire, Pierre and Ajax. Try them out, play with the cool or casual outfits and enjoy the original animations. A lot of work has been done to fix bugs and improve the UI, and you will notice that the quality of cafe.com has improved. This new version will be installed automatically when you start your cafe.com client. The automatic update system is activated starting with this version, meaning that upgrading will be much easier in the future.
