Independent Game Developers and the Linux OS

Independent game developers are an unusual bunch. On the one hand, they lack the resources to produce games on the scale of big publishing houses. On the other hand, they have dreams of making their salary off products that will compete with these big name titles. Independent developers should offer more focus and contributions on the Linux gaming scene. While any development of Linux games is good, there is much more to the rabbit hole that I hope to illuminate.
