I think the sequels were what really debuted as coin-ops, and if I find some recordings of them, I'll post about them too.

It also involves some stages where you ride on a motocycle and a motorboat while firing upwards. It's pretty difficult too, what with the linear style scrolling. Daytona USA recording

Just like in Virtua Racing, this too has the option of making a pit stop for repairs if your car gets banged up, but if you're really expert at this, you won't be needing any of that, and can really try to compete for the top spot.
