I saw the ‘Nano ’, the ‘world’s cheapest car’ today, on the internet. Yes, it is cool, but Mr. Ratan Tata, where are the roads? The Indian cities are already choked with vehicles. And now, here comes this small wonder and for all I know, the Indian middle class is going to go berserk over it.Just imagine the chaos we will soon be having on our roads! I only hope that I am proved wrong because otherwise we are doomed. BBC News is reporting that Microsoft , Google and Yahoo have agreed to pay a total of $31.5m (£15.7m) to settle claims that they accepted online ads promoting illegal gambling.None of the three firms have accepted any wrongdoing as part of the civil settlement, which concludes an investigation dating back to 2000.As part of the settlement, Microsoft will pay a total of $21m although a third of this sum - $7.5m - will take the form of a charitable donation to support exploited children. Yahoo has agreed to forfeit $3m to the US authorities and will also fund a $4.5m advertising campaign warning its users that anyone participating in online sports gambling is liable to arrest and prosecution.
