New template: Business
2008-04-21 02:50:00 I think this is the first time ever that I deliver a new template earlier than the promised deadline. Can you imagine that? Business is, not completely surprising, developed to give a professional company impression. Of course the template can be used for private people like web designers and bloggers too. The XHTML and CSS is, as always, fully validated towards W3C standards. If you haven't noticed, the three latest template slogans are taglines from famous movies. I thought this would be a fun detail in my templates since I have a huge interest for film. Every tagline is picked from a movie that matches the theme of respective template. Now I will sound like a patronizing preschool teacher and ask: "Can you figure out which movies the three latest taglines are picked from?". Enjoy the template, folks. More About: Template
All pages alive
2008-04-16 03:25:00 There we are. All pages is now active and there's no more "under construction" notes on the site. I'm really satisfied with that. Of course the content of each page will increase during time, above all the content of the template and portfolio page. Just to wave with candy right above your nose, I'm glad to inform you that a super fresh template is on the carpenter's bench right now - expecting to be released at the very latest on monday. It depends completely on how much spare time I've got these following days. Regarding the template I can reveal that the menu will be something reminding of the navigation I use for this site now. This simply because of all the positive criticism I've received regarding it. You like it - you'll have it! More About: Pages , Alive
Returning fully charged
2008-04-08 01:50:00 The time creek has poured away for almost a month without me publishing anything in particular or releasing any new templates. During this time I've been busy with lots of stuff which has led to a dried up RSS feed from Eatlon.com. For that I give you my greatest apologies. Problems with my apartment and being victim of assault is some of the reasons for the interruption. However, the main reason of my lack of presence is something, for me, really good. I have got a new job as a web developer at a really successful web firm! Developing my PHP skills is taking the most of my spare time. I've had plans of renovating the site for quite some time, but the fact that I've been all out of imagination and fresh ideas combined with this new job of mine has ended up with Eatlon.com in a coma. It's actually quite painful when you have no ideas for topics for good blog updates, no possible template designs in mind and no ideas of how you want to change the look of your site. But as we ...

Commission enterprise
2008-02-26 13:45:00 I have decided to expand the Eatlon webdesign business. In addition to the free templates, which I of course will continue to produce, I will start a commission activity. I will deliver tailored templates and complete websites for a fraction of the price that a commercial webdesign company would require. The templates will cost $79 and for that amount you get a tailored professional template written in strict XHTML and CSS fully validated towards W3C. You will also get all PSD files - something that gives you considerably more freedom when modifying the template. Regarding the websites, they will be implemented with sNews CMS (Content Management System) which makes it extremely easy to update and maintain the site. This becomes a huge advantage for people who doesn't have much, or any at all, experience from webmastering. Even though sNews is very lightweight, it is yet a powerful CMS that also can be used by the most experienced webmaster. So, you think $399 so... More About: Commission , Enterprise

Requested template "V2" released
2008-02-03 14:30:00 Template "V2" is now released by request. It's the former design of Eatlon.com and the name "V2" refers to the second version of Eatlon.com, not the Vergeltungswaffe 2 ballistic missile from World War II. This template has a layout really suitable for sNews. Of course the template can be used rather easy with any CMS or blog tool, thanks to its typical blog layout. The banner included in the template is the original one that was used for Eatlon.com and stands only as an example - just exchange the image with your own banner. Request for templates or modifications
2008-01-29 11:45:00 In the previous article I told you to not hesitate if you would like to send me a request for a template modification or a complete tailored template. With this proclamation I want to boost that invitation. Feel free to throw inquiries at me! If you would like a complete template tailor-made for you I suggest you start with telling me your basic thoughts about the template. Further on you can send me a sketch of the template (for example made in Photoshop, including the layout, elements, fonts and colors that you'd like). Eatlon v3.0 approaches
2008-01-16 20:10:00 At last I'm getting somewhere with the renovation of the site. I believe I sat almost a whole week without making any real progress. Frustrating indeed! However, now the plug that was preventing my work flow has come off and I expect to release the face-lift soon. Jared and Mia, you should now that I haven't forgot the modified templates you asked for. I will fix them as soon as the renovation work is done.
Explanation
2008-01-07 18:30:00 For too long there has been no new articles or templates on this site. For that I apologize. There are several reasons explaining this lack of updates... To start with, I got lazy during the holidays and was hardly using the computer at all. Also, I've got tired of my site design and when this happens I lose motivation to maintain it. However. I will renovate my site once again and hopefully I will be completely (or rather as close to completely as possible) satisfied this time. Further on I will purchase a new desk so that my workspace becomes more attractive. I'm sure it'll help! In other words - in a future not too far away the updates will once again flow and new templates will flourish! Apologizes again, and my best to you, my dear visitors!

How much is your blog worth?
2007-12-12 16:15:00 Dane Carlson of Business Opportunities Weblog has put together an indeed interesting but also entertaining applet that displays the value of your blog when submitting its URL. Mr. Carlson constructed the applet inspired by Tristan Louis' research on the AOL-Weblogs Inc deal, using Technorati's API. The applet calculates the estimated value of your blog, using the same link to dollar ratio as the AOL-Weblogs Inc deal. The example to the left is generated when submitting http://youtube.com. Quite a pleasant sum... Why don't you compare it to your own blog? How much is your blog worth? More About: Blog , Worth , Wort
