HDR Photography and Digital Blending
2007-09-06 23:20:00 I'm sorry for the slow down on this site for the moment. It was the vacation and I would like to show you some of hdr (High Dynamic Range) photos I took some days ago at 'Cap Gris Nez' in France. These photos aren't 'tone mapped' with Photomatix Pro. I've used a technique called DRI (Dynamic Range Increase) - also known as Digital Blending - which gives more natural results than tone-mapped HDR. For these photos, I've used a neutral density filter (ND400) to be able to make long exposures of 6, 15 and 30 seconds in order to have a nice effect with the water. Cap Gris Nez (literally "Cape Grey Nose" in English) is a cape on the Côte d'Opale, in the Pas-de-Calais département , in northern France. The cliffs of the Cap Griz Nez are the closest point of France to England - 34 km (20 miles) from their English counterparts at Dover. Smothered in sea pinks and thrift, the cliffs are a perfect vantage point to see hundreds of ships from oil ta... More About: Photography

Everything you need to know about CSS3
2007-08-28 01:36:00 CSS3 is the modularization of Cascading Style Sheets to allow additions to the specification as well as limit the properties used in a given situation. This modularization will help to clarify the relationships between the different parts of the specification, and reduce the size of the complete document. It will also allow us to build specific tests on a per module basis and will help implementors in deciding which portions of CSS to support. Furthermore, the modular nature of the specification will make it possible for individual modules to be updated as needed, thus allowing for a more flexible and timely evolution of the specification as a whole. So with a specification that is modular, additions and changes to that specification become much easier. The team behind CSS3.info wants to share his experience of CSS3 with us, and wants nothing more than to simply be the biggest online resource covering CSS3! At the moment, they have three sections: a CSS3 Pr...

Tutorial: Hiding div layers after 5 seconds
2007-08-07 14:09:00 "Many things can be done with layers, one of the most useful thing being the navigational drop down menus. Only problem with many HTML editors including Dreamweaver at the moment is that they do not provide an option to close or hide the layers after a specified time. So most of the time you need to hide it yourself by placing behaviors on other links or images, that way when you mouse over on certain images or links it will automatically hide the layers. However there is one shortcoming with this method, if the user does not mouse over on these particular images or links with behaviours your layer will stay visible. This tutorial will teach you how to hide layers by themselves after let's say 5 seconds." Read more ... More About: Tutorial , Rial , Layer , Seconds
