Resolutions for 2008

It's time for good resolutions! :) New design / contest? First of all, I need a new design for this website. I would like one with more and nice details, colors, something unique and professional... I was thinking that I could get it from a contest with a price like $400 or $500... I don't know if a contest is a good idea, what do you think? More free templates I wasn't very productive in 2007, I made only 6 free templates because I was too busy in other projects. In 2008 I would like to make at least one free template per month maybe two! sNews / Wordpress / Joomla ready templates? For the moment, all my free templates are only css/xhtml static codes without any CMS. So one of my resolution for 2008 is to make the newest templates ready for sNews, Wordpress and Joomla1.5 ! XHTML and CSS Validator

Xhtml-Css.com is a website that helps you to check the markup and style validity of web pages. It does this by submiting the urls that you want to check to the W3C Markup and the W3C CSS Vali dators. These validators send back validations resulats in SOAP format, which this website internaly consumes in order to produce the result you're seeing. This is a very good way to check XHTML and CSS very quickly! Only on click! This application has been written with Python using web.py and is still in beta stage of developpement.

The StumbleUpon effect

As you know, I've released a new website some weeks ago: http://www.hdr-photogallery.com . I put there all my HDR trials. As there isn't a big content on this site, the normal traffic is not very high: about 70 to 100 unique visitors per day. But it seem that one of the article on the blog has been "stumbled upon" and see the surprising effect!: From ~80 to ~7000 unique visitors in 3 days ...and see the page views: ~500 to ~14500! "According to eBizMBA , StumbleUpon ranked at number 6 for the 30 most popular social bookmarking sites for July 2007. The site was ranked above both Slashdot and Reddit but still is one of the least appreciated sources of traffic. The reasons for this are because people misunderstand the nature of the site. CSS list-style-position Property

The list-style-position property places the list-item marker in the list. Eatlon.com is Olle Axelsson's latest and also his biggest project so far. The main ambition of the website is to deliver high quality and fully standars-compliant templates in web 2.0 fashion, which he produces himself. Olle truly enjoys creating web templates since webdesign is one of his biggest interests. Some say that he speaks CSS in his sleep! :) Further on there will be a lot of useful and pleasant content avaible on Eatlon.com . In the blog you will find material such as tutorials, useful webdesign tips and tricks, XHTML/CSS tips, graphic art, and more.
