Tutorial v 2 - Subject Focus, Magazine Style - Photoshop

Let's try to create something like this.. This is a quick tutorial on editing an image that would make a subject stand out through color separation and lens blur. Lets start...1) Choose a picture that has different objects in it and find something or a subject that you wanted to emphasize... In this case, I wanted to have the focus on the oranges... 2) Go to Image>Adjustments>Levels and enter the following values: Note: you may change the values according to your needs... 3) After that, duplicate that layer. Choose the new layer that you've just created and go to Image>Adjustments>Desaturate. Now that layer will have a black and white tone...4) Now, while still on the desaturated layer, go to Filter>Blur>Lens Blur and enter the following values: Click this image to enlarge: 5) Choose the Eraser tool and enter the following values:6) Left click once or twice on the subject you chose (the desaturated layer) . My company website www.toptech-online.com was offline for a week after reaching its bandwidth limit. The website is barely two months old and we never expected the high volume of traffic it got in the first week of May… Now it’s back online.The traffic increased abruptly after I submitted my freeware to different software directories --- www.softpedia.com, www.sofotex.com, www.freetrialsoft.com and a lot more. The web traffic increased more than 300%. At one time it received 4000 plus hits, 2800 plus visits and 30 plus was online… The application that I created -- PB Media Player a portable (‘can run on USB sticks’), single file Youtube searcher, downloader and player. The application is only 998Kb in size and only in its first version. The name was supposed to be PB FLV Player… P and B are the initials of my real name; FLV is the Youtube raw video file format that it plays… I changed the name FLV to Media because I’m planning to add additional file support later on...

The Internet has come a long way and every now and then new issues arise. Most web designers are bombarded by things that would make it harder and harder for them to make a better web design.Is the browser war still on? Yes, and web designers are caught between the crossfire. Different browsers interpret webpages differently. A web page may not look the same on one browser to the other. Here's another set of Web 2.0 buttons. This one is quite different from the previous one with thinner strokes. It's actually very easy to make buttons like this. There are only 2 layer styles to play with... First is the Gradient Fill and the other is the Stroke. The gradient is the transition between two similar or adjacent colors while the stroke is the border.
